Professional Development Calendar

Basic Beginnings provides a new professional development calendar each semester. We offer trainings in everything from First Aid and CPR, to promoting literacy in the classroom, behavior management, family relationships and more.  We also make available the WestEd Program for Infant and Toddler Care to allow you to earn the Wyoming Infant and Toddler Director Credential, as well as coursework that leads to the completion of the nationally recognized Child Development Associate Credential.  Our training staff gathers information regarding teacher’s needs and interests when putting the schedule together and often we bring in outside trainers for some of those as well.

We believe in the importance of a good education.  Understanding children is the first step in providing high quality care and early education.  In compliance with the requirements from NAEYC (National Accreditation for the Education of Young Children) we expect each of our staff members to either have a degree in Early Childhood, be working toward a degree in Early Childhood or to complete the coursework and training hours for a CDA certificate program.

One major benefit of working in our centers is the availability of funding to aid in completing Early Childhood degrees and programs.  Please talk to an Administrator for more information.
